Welcome to the SD Radiology website, in the following pages we will introduce a new concept in radiology referral services for dentistry in the United Kingdom. Highly accurate 2D and 3D CT imaging, essential for detailed dental treatment planning, is now possible using the Newtom 9000 Cone Beam Computer Tomographic unit.  This machine gives the lowest radiation dose of any CT scanner in the UK, a fraction of that received from medical CT scanners, and less than the dose from a full mouth series of periapicals.  All of this with the added advantage of undistorted 1:1 image reproduction allowing direct measurements to be made from the photographic or electronic images produced.
